Richard Ruhland may be the most interesting man you will ever find in the Ozark Mountains. He was born in Torrance, California in 1944 and, drawn by the Ozarks, moved to Arkansas in 1971. His first published poem appeared in a newspaper when he was 12, but this is the first robust publication of his work. The 70+ poems included in this work span 40 years of Richard's eclectic life in the South and around the world. When he feels inspired, he describes his poems as tugging at him like a fish on a line that he reels into verse.
