It is not about happiness, success or serenity. It's about your sense of awareness - how inner processes are responsible for your feelings.

It's about how the brain creates your perception of reality. Because we have not only reality as a perceptible stimulus, but also ourselves. This enables us to interpret, evaluate and act accordingly. We can retrieve and combine stored information (regardless of perception stimuli). We call this process "thinking" and we can also perceive it. We are our thoughts, so to speak.

In itself, that would be total freedom if there weren't one thing:

Our consciousness is just a product that works according to certain rules. They manipulate our feelings and guide our decisions. But how much does it affect our nature? Are our thoughts free or are we just puppets of inner processes?
