Tad is a 13 year old boy who is grieving the loss of his father, and in part, blames himself for his dad's death. Susan, Tad's mother, decides that their old home holds too many bittersweet memories of the husband and father that they both miss so very much. Susan moves what is left of her little family into a new home for what she hopes is a new beginning. But something that Tad discovers in this new home may make that new beginning impossible, and may even spell the end for their world as they know it.
