Our Journey to Become a Family

I was pregnant at age 17 and placed my son for adoption, which God turned around for the good by helping me relate to the birth mother of my own adopted children. He gave me a heart for orphans through a vision while at a women's retreat and provided me with opportunities around the world to hold the babies. We fostered Kenyan babies, which God used to show my husband and me that we could love children who are not our own and who had darker skin than us. God showed us we could handle three kids through the first three foster girls that were temporarily placed with us. He proved to me that I could handle caring for a baby that we fostered temporarily. All these events in my life God turned around for the good and prepared me and my husband for the three beautiful and amazing children He had for us.
