Caught Between the Clock and Eternity Don Beaudreau
Caught Between the Clock and Eternity
Don Beaudreau
Don Beaudreau has been writing poetry and making music from early childhood. The poetry he writes, and the music he plays and sings (he is primarily a jazz pianist) are compositions of rhythm and sound, mood and subtlety. Poetry and music are not one for him, but reflections of th"e same need: a yearning for him to express who he is as a human creation, sometimes feeling lost in the vortex, sometimes feeling elated that he was created in the first place, but always existing in a state of curiosity and amazement. These poems, then, are a reflection of the music within him. Thinking of poetry and music as one, he has for many years, made his daily mantra the words of Friedrich Nietzsche, that great philosopher: Without music, life would be a mistake!
