"There are reasons, sometimes more than a few, why individuals choose a path. Some are born into the path they eventually choose while some are persuaded into it. Some others also are attracted by what they see of the path. For example, there are people who watch a military parade and from then on, they desire to enlist as soldiers. There are also people who are not in the least fascinated by what they see; they simply follow contemporary social trend or their private psychological impulses, while some others wait until they are pushed by an overwhelming experience. My choice of Christianity as my spiritual path is a story, notwithstanding that I was born into Christianity."This book narrates without being overly defensive, the reasons why the author chose to be a Christian and remain a Christian. It is however not a simplistic narrative. It is about an experience that continues to take place in a definite socio-cultural, religious and intellectual milieu that should enable his readers to have a better understanding of his Christian journey in particular and of Christianity in general. Although it is a personal testimony, the book also succinctly in a simple easy-to-read style, invites every Christian to ask himself/herself why he/she is a Christian in the hope that the answer or answers would challenge him/her to discover or rediscover the message and purpose of Christianity, and ultimately draw him to a personal revival.
