This workbook is a supplement to the Slow American English podcast episodes 13 - 24 (formerly 1601-1612). The podcast is written, recorded and produced by Karren Doll Tolliver, a CELTA-certified ESL instructor. In the course of her work, Karren recognized a need for students to practice listening skills without the pressure of real-life conversation with native speakers. Thus, Slow American English was born. Karren reads each podcast slowly so that learners of American English can practice listening skills. She also reads the same transcript at a more natural speed for more advanced students. Exercises in this workbook reinforce listening, speaking and writing skills.
