The United States is thrust into World War II. Katie, a teenage girl, living in a small Nevada town, must now deal with a changing world. Though she attends high school, dates and tries to maintain a normal life, she is forced to mature quickly in order to deal with the current world situation. She is surrounded by a loving family that is near to support her, but will life ever be the same again? Seeing the men she cares about leaving constantly to fight in a war she doesn't understand, is frightening. Will she be able to move past the fear and trust the future? Will she allow love in her life or will the uncertain future dictate her destiny?
