The Catholic Church has been based primarily in Italy for the majority of its two-thousand year history. Italy's customs and many of its unique cultural experiences are undeniably intertwined with the ritual of the Catholic Mass. The goal of the Non-Native Speaker's Guide series is to help parents learn a foreign language at the same time they are teaching it to their young children through real-world experiences. The first half of this book contains charming watercolor paintings illustrating common objects seen during the celebration of Mass as well as helpful phrases and words for non-native Italian learners to teach their children. The second half of the book consists of quiet activities (word-finds, coloring pages, doodle and note pages) to keep energetic hands occupied.
