This book titled "Klesis: a calling of God," presents a collection of topics that emphasize the calling of God for Christian youth, which is beautifully outlined in Scripture through principles which, when applied, produce a full and healthy life that transcends beyond death. It should be noted that this book was born from the good desire to share the topics which have been developed throughout the years in the youth convention, KLESIS, which has its origins in the year 2013 as an annual conversation space for young men and women to convene in the divine calling (gr., klesis) for their lives. The Klesis Youth Convention systematically covers a variety of topics using different methodologies for group conversation and collaboration. These are characterized as dynamic, engaging and interactive, such as: plenary exhibitions, workshops, and dynamic group activities. However, all the instructors and presenters use a common ingredient: they present topics based solely on Biblical principles. In a world which is constantly changing, the most effective way to teach the Biblical truth-which does not change and remains the same forever (Is 40:8, 1 Pe 1:25)-is through principles. For example, the principle of abundant life (Ro 8:2), the principle of purity (1 Co 10:31), the principle of sobriety (1 Pe 3:3-4), the principle of humility (Mt 11:29), the principle of the fear of God (Pr 1:7), the principle of mercy (pr 3:3), and many others. People, and especially the youth, need not only to know and obey the Lord's ordinances and commandments, but also to understand the principle on which the commandment is founded and inspired. Education through these principles allows the young man and woman to understand the why behind the commandments, and it draws them to a more intimate relationship with God, our loving Father.
