I have successfully written fiction, nonfiction stories and vignettes for years, and now I'm really excited about this new writing venue "Informal Essays". This book will have both fiction and nonfiction "informal" essays. I'm slightly deviating from the standard scholastic definition of Essays. I intend to give it a new twist with lots of imagination. Part One will be fiction essays which, my intention is to provide you with some interesting thought provoking ideas. Part Two my nonfiction essays have personal true factual experiences along with adding slightly deep thinking concepts. My qualification for having useful ideas is my occupational background. As described in a book of mine titled The Other End of the Sky, a grade school teacher had a profound effect on me, and caused me to decide at a tender young age to take on multiple occupations of different kinds. As a result, I have been a ranch hand, a surveyor, an electronic engineer, a competitive rifleman and pistol shooter, a scientist, an international gemstone dealer, a graduate of both Washington State University and the University of Texas and hold a commercial pilot's license. I am also the unusual combination of both a retired research physicist and a retired police officer.
