Battle for Olartha
Richard Dale Sadok
Marcela Espinoza, missionary to the tribe of Xhanga in the Amazonian rainforest, previously discovered the tribe possesses olartha, a medicine of remarkable healing powers. unlike anything the world has ever known. In its ongoing efforts to prevent the world-at-large from learning about olartha, a clandestine and ruthless organization known as the Fixers has blocked the transport of olartha from the rainforest. The Fixers are believed to be employed by one or more large pharmaceutical companies who know that the unsurpassed healing powers of olartha would render many of their products obsolete. Xhanga's blowtubes and darts are no match against the modern weaponry the Fixer can bring to bear to prevent the world from ever discovering olartha. A two-pronged approach to defeat the Fixers is attempted. Marcela leads a team of Xhangans to the opposite side of the world where she hopes to find a safe place to grow olartha. At the same time, Reg Saunders, who believes olartha is the only cure for his wife's rare cancer, attempts to infiltrate the Fixers' organization hoping to bring them to justice. What obstacles and dangers will they encounter? Will either effort succeed?
