This book is an introduction to help learn about Mother Nature and her nurturing qualities. Close attention to the Earth and the environment as well as the therapeutic development of the narrative in the writings are meant to help individuals who feel they have experienced some kind of loss, begin to depend on nature for care and strength. This book was written to show that Mother Earth can give what our human mothers sometimes cannot give and has been used in the United States by psychologists to show how to help their clients who for one reason or another were unable to depend on their own mother for nurturing. It was also written to explain that taking care of our precious Earth is so very important and has been used on Earth Day in grammar schools through colleges internationally, to explain the importance of caring for the planet that we live on. It is said to make people ponder the subtle lessons about caring and compassion toward people and the environment.
