The medical school admissions process can be confusing and hard. It can be especially confusing for those who are just starting to familiarize themselves with application requirements. I wanted to write this book is because when I reflected on my experience applying to medical school I wished I had had more help. Each of the topics discussed in this book are things I wish I had given more thought to when I was starting to apply. The goal of the sections discussed here is to give you ideas to help you create your strategy for applying to medical school. Thank you for taking the time to read this. While your advisors, mentors, and family can be great resources for guidance I aim to provide you the perspective of a recent applicant. Some aspects of this book include but are not limited to: Selecting a college, selecting a major, how to use your free time to your advantage, MCAT preparation strategies, interview tips, and more!As an applicant, I wished I had more help and guidance. I am the first person in my family to go to medical school and had limited exposure to the medical field growing up. I felt my path into medical school was rough and chaotic. It is my hope that this book will provide you the foundation on which to build your application and will smooth your path into medical school.
