A thrilling dystopian novel that shows the world in a post-war scene, where most of the population has been moved to Ocean Boroughs. The book opens with a round of tests that happen inside two separate rooms: in one there are men and in the other women. In both of these rooms, there are two exit doors that each signify something differently, and a speaker box that calls out names. The main characters in this book are couple Carter and Simone. They participate in these tests but for each of them, there is a different outcome. Puzzling as this scene looks, it's not the heart of the book's mystery. It becomes rapidly clear that they need to fight the system that exercises political control over the entire world. However, the main characters are separated from each other and both of them find new friends along the way. Who are these friends? Will they ever see each other again? Will they manage to fight the system? There's only one way to find out.
