Edward Simon was a finalist in the T. Monk competition, a member of Bobby Watson's Horizon and Victor Lewis. He has worked with Terence Blanchard, Paquito de Rivera, Herbie Mann and others. Great accompanist and inspired and essential soloist. David Binney member of the cult band Lost Tribe, collaborator with Uri Caine and other frontline musicians is a solid, competent saxophonist with an advanced yet respectful conception of tradition with modern, open, uninhibited sounds. Brian Blade and Scott Colley are an absolutely excellent rhythm section and are themselves leaders of their own groups.
