Few bands have left as significant a mark on pop culture as Depeche Mode, and few artists have mastered the art of musical reinterpretation like Nouvelle Vague. Bringing these two worlds together feels both completely unexpected and almost inevitable.
The album A Date with Depeche Mode was recorded in Rio de Janeiro and Paris and transforms thirteen Depeche Mode classics into intimate, cinematic and deeply emotional songs. Music that was originally driven by machines and electronics is given a warm, organic and timeless feel, bringing the songwriting at the heart of these iconic compositions to the forefront.
The tracks are performed by an international cast of guest vocalists, including Skye Edwards (Morcheeba), Beth Hirsch, Flavia Coelho, Mélanie Pain, Phoebe Killdeer and Fredrika Stahl.
